Third graders do a lot at once. They are still adding and subtracting within 100, now with regrouping, and they are learning their times tables. Mixed sheets keep all of it in play.
The Addition and subtraction variant is the right place to polish regrouping. Every problem stays within 100, and subtraction never goes negative. The Multiplication and division variant mixes times facts with their matching division, with tables to 10, and every division comes out exactly. Seeing 6 x 4 beside 24 / 4 shows your child that they are opposites.
Where kids slip is on division. If a child knows 7 x 8 but not 56 / 7, ask what times 7 makes 56. That question turns division into a multiplication fact they already know.
Start with the easy level and pick the variant that matches what school is covering this month. You can alternate between the two across the week. Move to medium and hard when a sheet has only one or two mistakes. If one table keeps causing trouble, go back to a drill sheet for it, then return.
